PerformYard alternatives: keep the reviews, fix the goals, or both
Facts checked October 27, 2026
PerformYard sells performance reviews that HR can shape around its own process, plus service from a named success manager. Goals sit in the same product, alongside meetings, feedback, engagement and surveys.
This page is for teams whose reason to look is the goals side or the price, not the reviews. Here are six alternatives, checked on October 27, 2026, and what each one changes for a PerformYard team.
What sends teams looking
A range instead of a price. PerformYard's pricing shows $5 to $15 per person per month for Performance, billed annually, and the same range for Talent Development. Your number depends on headcount and products, with volume pricing for bigger companies.
No way to bulk load goals. There's no goal import in the app. The bulk goal tools let admins mark goals complete or archive them, nothing more. Creating goals in bulk means the API.
Slack does one thing. The Slack app posts recognition to a single channel, and your Customer Success Manager has to enable it. Goal reminders don't come through Slack.
Goals are built for HR tracking. Each goal has a current value, target, units and an outlook color, and aligns up to Top Goals. That works for reviews; a team that wants objectives with weighted key results under them may prefer an OKR-first tool.
Where PerformYard is strong
Service is the headline. Every plan includes a dedicated success manager, hands-on implementation, unlimited employee training, HRIS integrations and SSO, and PerformYard says it never charges extra for onboarding or training. The Teams app delivers daily notifications as well as recognition. For data, the company goals list exports to CSV with alignment, alignment assignee and progress, and a public API can create and update goals.

Six PerformYard alternatives
15Five
15Five gives a PerformYard customer the same mix of reviews, check-ins and goals, at a published rate. 15Five's pricing has Perform at $11 per user per month, billed annually, with reviews, 360s, a talent matrix and weighted OKRs. Total Platform, which adds the Engage surveys, is $16.
The goal side is where it differs most. Admins can import objectives from CSV, review them and publish, which PerformYard can't do without code. Owners need active 15Five accounts first. Read our 15Five alternatives.
Engagedly
Engagedly is the choice if you'd rather have more modules than more service. Engagedly's pricing lists its Performance Suite at $5 to $8 per user, billed annually, with goals, reviews, 360 feedback, 1:1s and a skills library. Learning, recognition and engagement suites add $2 to $5 each. A $7,500 yearly minimum applies.
Its goal import adds new goals or updates existing ones from a template and keeps an import history, a real step up from PerformYard. Slack and Teams both need Engagedly support to switch on. See our Engagedly alternatives.
Small Improvements
Small Improvements is for a PerformYard customer who wants plain prices and lighter software. Its pricing page puts reviews alone on Launch at $3 per user, and Grow at $6 with objectives, 1:1s, pulse surveys, 360s and Slack. Elevate at $9 adds every feature and integration. Grow carries a 20-user minimum and Elevate 30, with a 30-day trial.
Two cautions. There's no Microsoft Teams app, and there's no objectives import, so goals go in by hand. Implementation help is $200 an hour. See our Small Improvements alternatives.
Teamflect
Teamflect suits a PerformYard customer on Microsoft 365 who wants reviews and goals inside Teams itself, not only notifications. Teamflect's pricing starts free for up to 10 users, then Essential at $7 or $9 per user depending on billing. Reviews with calibration and a 9-box, OKRs, surveys, recognition and 1:1s all work in Teams and Outlook.
Unlike PerformYard, Teamflect can bulk upload goals from a spreadsheet with owners, parent goals and weights. It has no Slack app. Read our Teamflect alternatives.
OKRs Tool
OKRs Tool flips PerformYard's model: flat monthly pricing, no per-seat fees and no annual contract. Its pricing page lists Scale at $129 a month for core OKRs and integrations including Slack, Teams and Jira. Expand at $229 adds performance reviews, 1:1s, 360s and engagement surveys, and Enterprise starts at $349 with SSO, SCIM and the API. Annual billing saves 20%.
It also offers a refund if your team doesn't reach 60% adoption in 30 days, and OKRs can be loaded from an Excel template. See our OKRs Tool alternatives.
OKIAR
OKIAR is for the PerformYard customer that keeps PerformYard for reviews and wants OKRs run somewhere built for them. Objectives hold key results that can be weighted, alongside KPIs, with fiscal-quarter labels and separate results for each contributor. It doesn't do reviews, surveys or recognition, has no Microsoft Teams app and no Jira integration. Slack, Telegram and MCP are the integrations.
The beta is free with no card and no set end date, and your Okiar is already live today. Upload PerformYard's goals CSV to OKIAR's goal import, which helps map people, teams and parent links for you to review. The import is self-serve, and OKIAR doesn't provide migration help.
When PerformYard is still the right call
Stay if your review process is unusual, with odd cycles or many review types, and PerformYard's flexibility is why it works. Stay if HR depends on the success manager and the unlimited training. Stay if your company is on Teams and the daily notifications keep people current. Your goals problem may be fixable with the API instead of a new vendor.
What you can take out of PerformYard
Open the Company Goals list, clear the default filter that shows only active public goals, and click Download CSV. The export includes assignee, name, description, status, dates, outlook, current value, target, units, progress, transparency, alignment and assignee group. Our PerformYard migration guide shows how to turn that file into OKRs.
