Peoplebox alternatives: 7 performance and goal platforms compared
Facts checked October 27, 2026
Peoplebox.ai is a performance platform first. OKRs come in the same plan as reviews, one-on-ones and feedback, and its pricing page charges $8 per employee per month, billed annually, for that Performance Management plan. A customer quote on the same page sums up the appeal: "Driving the entire interface through slack is simply brilliant."
So the people who look for a Peoplebox alternative usually fall into one of two groups. HR leaders who like the bundle but want a different vendor, perhaps one stronger in Microsoft Teams or with a bigger review module. And operations or leadership teams who realize they only use the goals, and would rather not pay for reviews. This page covers both. Prices are as published on October 27, 2026.
What you get in Peoplebox
- Goals with reviews. OKRs, KRAs and KPIs, cascaded goals, business reviews and AI goal drafting sit in the $8 Performance Management plan. We didn't find a goals-only price.
- Paid add-ons. Development plans cost $3, engagement $2, 360 reviews $8 and compensation $5 per employee per month, each billed annually.
- Slack first. The Slack integration tells you when you become a goal owner and reminds you to update goals every Tuesday.
- Teams, with caveats. The Teams app covers 1:1 reminders, goal check-in reminders, owner notifications and @mentions in comments. It isn't available on Peoplebox's KSA server, and the admin settings page marks it as beta.
Reasons teams switch
- Microsoft Teams is your main tool. A beta Teams app with four functions is thin for a company that lives in Teams.
- Only the goals get used. Paying a per-employee performance price for a goals tracker adds up fast at 200 people.
- Reviews need more depth. Larger HR teams sometimes want calibration, succession or talent reviews that a mid-market bundle doesn't stress.
- Full export is unclear. We found no help article for exporting every goal at once, only an activity log CSV.
Where Peoplebox is strong, and who should stay
Peoplebox's goal import is one of the better ones we've read: CSV or XLSX, with Row ID and Parent Row IDs columns so alignment survives, plus owner emails and cycles. Pairing goals with one-on-ones and reviews at one price is also good value next to several rivals here.
If your company runs on Slack, uses both goals and reviews, and has 50 to 500 people, staying is a sensible choice. The rest of this page is for teams whose needs have shifted.

Seven Peoplebox alternatives
Lattice
Lattice is the best-known performance suite in this group. Its pricing lists Goals & OKRs at $8 per seat per month and Performance at $10, each with 1:1s and weekly updates included. Contracts are annual with a $4,000 minimum, and Slack, Teams and Jira integrations are listed.
Leaving Peoplebox: Lattice's CSV upload handles active goals but sets one owner each and no parent links, and one bad row fails the file. Your Peoplebox Parent Row IDs won't carry over, so align goals by hand.
15Five
15Five is a strong match if what you liked most were the one-on-ones. Its pricing page puts OKRs & Goals in Perform at $11 per user per month, billed annually, with AI-assisted reviews and 360 feedback, and lists weekly check-ins with pulse, wins and challenges. Engage alone costs $4 and the Total Platform $16.
Leaving Peoplebox: Account Admins can bulk import objectives and key results from 15Five's CSV template, and every owner needs a 15Five account first. There's a Microsoft Teams app as well as Slack notifications.
Leapsome
Leapsome sells each module on its own. Its pricing page shows Goals & OKRs at €4 per employee per month and Performance Reviews at €7, on top of an HRIS foundation listed at €7 and free until December 31 with any Talent Suite module. There's no setup fee.
Leaving Peoplebox: admins can import goals from Excel with a parent goal column. Parents must exist first, so import company goals, then team goals. Microsoft Teams and Slack both get goal digests.
Teamflect
Teamflect solves the Teams problem directly: goals, reviews and one-on-ones run inside Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Teamflect's pricing has a free Starter plan for up to 10 users, then Essential at $7 and Professional at $11 per user per month on annual billing ($9 and $14 monthly). There's a 30-day trial and no fee for implementation or training.
Leaving Peoplebox: admins can bulk upload goals from an Excel template with an optional parent goal ID, which maps well from Peoplebox's Parent Row IDs. Slack isn't listed, so Slack-first companies should look elsewhere.
Betterworks
Betterworks targets the enterprise end. Its plans page lists Performance at $8 per user per month with goals and OKRs, review conversations, 1:1 meetings, AI assistance and a designated success partner, and says it "adds the most value for organizations with over 500 employees." Implementation is a one-time cost on top.
Leaving Peoplebox: Betterworks' professional services team designs and runs implementation, so goal migration is part of that project. Integrations include Slack, Teams and Jira.
Profit.co
Profit.co fits HR and strategy teams that want more than performance. Its pricing page offers Strategy, Performance, Projects and Engagement modules, quoted by module and user count, with a 30-day trial. Every plan includes a dedicated success manager and guided onboarding, who can help move your Peoplebox goals. Read our
Profit.co alternatives for its limits.
OKIAR
OKIAR is for the team that kept Peoplebox for goals and never touched the reviews. It does goals only: objectives, key results and KPIs on quarters or fiscal-quarter labels, weekly voice or text check-ins, and a weekly AI summary in Slack or Telegram. The beta is free, with no card and no caps on goals or members.
Leaving Peoplebox: ask Peoplebox for a goals file, then upload it at sign-up or later, up to 5 MB. OKIAR helps map people, teams and parent links for you to review and lets you review the draft. It has no reviews, no Teams app and migration help available.
Questions to settle before you switch
- Who owns the decision? If HR picked Peoplebox for reviews and leadership only cares about OKRs, agree on which problem the new tool solves first.
- Which chat app wins? Teamflect assumes Microsoft Teams, OKIAR assumes Slack or Telegram, and the suites support both. Pick for where your managers already reply.
- What happens to review history? OKR tools won't import past reviews. Keep exports somewhere HR can reach them.
- When does your contract renew? Peoplebox bills annually, so time the trial of a replacement for the quarter before renewal.
- Who will rebuild the goal tree? Tools with a parent column in their import, like Teamflect, Leapsome and OKIAR, save the most time here.
Getting your goals out of Peoplebox
We found no help article for a full export of every goal. The admin settings page describes an Activity Logs CSV of recent goal changes, which isn't the same thing. Ask Peoplebox support for a goals file with titles, owners, parents and cycles before your renewal date, and export review data separately, since only the suites above will take it. Our Peoplebox migration guide covers the move step by step.
