Perdoo migration: how to export your goals and rebuild your OKRs somewhere else

Facts checked October 27, 2026

Perdoo's export is good, but it isn't on every plan. Its pricing page lists Export Data and API access on the paid Premium and Supreme plans, not on the free plan. If you're paying for Perdoo today and plan to leave, export before you cancel or drop to the free plan.

This guide covers what Perdoo lets you export, who can run each export, what to check in the file, and how to rebuild. Exporting and checking (Steps 1 and 2) work the same for any new tool. Steps 3 to 5 set up your live quarter in OKIAR.

Before you start: check your plan and your role

Two things decide whether you can export at all.

  1. Your plan. Export Data and API access are listed on Premium and Supreme. The free plan, for up to 5 users, doesn't list either. If you're on it, we found no documented export, so ask Perdoo support what they can provide.
  2. Your role. Perdoo's roles and rights article ticks "Export data" for the Standard, Admin and Superadmin roles. View-only users can't export.

Then do two things this week:

  1. Ask a Superadmin to run the exports below while your paid plan is active, and keep the files untouched.
  2. Ask Perdoo, in writing, how long it keeps your data after you cancel. We couldn't find a public answer.

Step 1: Work out which Perdoo export you have

Perdoo's export article, updated September 1, 2026, lists several exports. Each one holds something different.

Which Perdoo export can you get?

A few yes-or-no questions, based on the Perdoo help articles cited above.

Question 1

Is your Perdoo workspace on the Premium or Supreme plan?

Goals (CSV, PDF or PPT)

Go to Explore, or open a User, Team or Company page. Apply your filters, customize the columns, then click Export and choose CSV, PDF or PPT. Pick CSV for the rebuild, and add every column you'll want later before you export, because the file follows the view.

Progress history, one goal at a time

For past values, open a key result, initiative or KPI, open its 3-dot menu and export its history as CSV. This works one goal at a time, so do it for the metrics whose trend you'll need, or use the API for the rest.

Users and teams

The Users list and the Teams list each have a CSV export button. Take both. They become your invite list and your check on team names.

The API

Perdoo's API article describes a GraphQL API and says "most things you see in the app can be pulled through the API." The documentation link sits under Personal settings, then Integrations, and Superadmins can open it. The export article names the API as the route for historical data. Comments aren't mentioned in either article.

If you have no file

Fall back on printed Perdoo pages and the deck from your most recent quarterly review. For a fresh start instead, OKIAR's OKR examples hold copyable templates for 16 teams.

Step 2: Check what your file contains

Perdoo doesn't publish a fixed column list for the goal export, because you choose the columns. What its help articles do say:

  • Goals include OKRs, KPIs and initiatives, and the export follows your filters.
  • Progress history is a separate CSV per goal, or comes through the API.
  • Users and teams come out as their own CSV files.

Before you plan the move, check four things:

  1. Count the objectives, key results and KPIs in the file, and compare the totals with what Explore shows for the same filters.
  2. Check that the file shows which objective each key result belongs to, and what each objective aligns to. If it doesn't, add those columns to the view and export again.
  3. Look for owners who have left the company, using your Users CSV.
  4. Look for comments. Neither article says the export includes them, so assume it doesn't until you see them.
File check

Is your export ready to import?

Tick the four checks as you do them and enter your file size.

Enter your file size to check it against the upload limit.

  • Still to do: Objective, key result and KPI counts match Explore for the same filters
  • Still to do: Every key result shows its objective, and objectives show what they align to
  • Still to do: Former employees still listed as owners are flagged (checked against the Users CSV)
  • Still to do: I looked for comments (and know whether they’re there)

Moving to a tool other than OKIAR

Before signing anywhere, send that vendor your goal CSV and check the imported result yourself. What the importers did on October 27, 2026:

See the Perdoo alternatives page for eight tools and what they can import.

Step 3: Rebuild your current quarter in OKIAR

Bring the CSV, not the PPT. The file types in OKIAR's sign-up guide are spreadsheets, CSV, PDF, Word, text and Markdown, up to 5 MB, and PowerPoint isn't among them. Multi-sheet Excel is fine. The import helps map people, teams and parent links for you to review, can run at sign-up or later, and hands you a draft in which objectives, key results, start values and targets are all editable before you accept.

Only the current period needs rebuilding. Past periods live on in your Perdoo CSVs.

  1. Start a free account on the beta. There's no card step and no member limit.
  2. Upload the goal CSV for this period. Over 5 MB? Filter Explore to the quarter and export again. Accept the plan only after reading every objective and key result it proposes.
  3. Compare the imported teams with your Teams CSV, then invite people from the Users CSV as Admin, Manager, Contributor or Viewer.
  4. Make sure the nesting of company and team objectives matches Perdoo's.
  5. Verify start, current, target and unit on every key result.
  6. Confirm Perdoo KPIs landed as KPIs, not as key results.
  7. Set up the Slack integration.
  8. Walk through the objective, team and person views with the CSV beside you and fix any owner or link that's off.

Statuses in OKIAR

Perdoo statuses can stay in the export. OKIAR calculates status from pacing; its objective guide compares actual progress with expected progress for this point in the quarter. Anyone can override it by hand.

What OKIAR seesStatus
Pacing of 0.7 or moreOn track
Pacing from 0.4 up to 0.69Behind
Pacing lower than 0.4At risk
A choice made by handNot started, Closed or Abandoned

Owners add a 0 to 10 confidence score to their check-ins as well.

Step 4: Replace your Perdoo integrations

Perdoo's pricing page lists Slack and Microsoft Teams on every plan, and Jira, Asana and HubSpot integrations on Supreme. None of those connections come with your file.

In PerdooIn OKIAR today
Integrations that update key results and KPIsUpdated by the owner during check-ins
Slack and Microsoft TeamsSlack or Telegram; Microsoft Teams isn't available
Charts and page printsDashboards and Insights
GraphQL API and MCP serverMCP for AI assistants, scoped to each user's permissions

Perdoo's integrations updated numbers automatically; in OKIAR the owner does. With OKIAR's MCP, whose 14 tools include filing a check-in and updating a current value, an assistant like Claude can take some of that work, including creating objectives, key results and KPIs. Teams that check in from Microsoft Teams today should plan for the switch.

Step 5: Run the first check-in

Have everyone check in during the first week, so the rebuild gets tested while it's new.

  • Decide each team's check-in day and template.
  • Owners cover progress, confidence and blockers, by typing or recording a voice note.
  • Review the weekly summary in the next team meeting.
  • After several weeks, Insights shows how pacing, confidence and blockers are trending.
  • Revisit the plan at the mid-quarter review.

Our weekly check-in template offers five prompts if your team wants a script.

Frequently asked questions

Can I export my goals from Perdoo?

Yes, on Premium or Supreme, with the Standard, Admin or Superadmin role. Go to Explore or a User, Team or Company page, set filters and columns, click Export and choose CSV, PDF or PPT.

Can I export on Perdoo's free plan?

The pricing page doesn't list Export Data or API access on the free plan, and we found no other documented export for it. Ask Perdoo support, or rebuild from what you can see on screen.

Does the export include progress history?

Not the goal export. History comes out one goal at a time as a CSV from each key result, initiative or KPI's 3-dot menu, or in bulk through the API.

Does the export include comments?

Perdoo's export and API articles don't mention comments. Check your file, and ask a developer to look at the API if comments matter.

Can OKIAR import my Perdoo file?

Yes, the CSV export. The PPT won't work. Files can be up to 5 MB, and import runs at sign-up or later, helping you review people, teams and parent links in a draft you review.

What does OKIAR cost?

Free, for now. The beta needs no credit card and doesn't cap objectives, key results, KPIs or users. It has no fixed end, and Okiar is already live today. A Pro plan will follow; its price currently reads "TBD/seat/month".
